Since the middle of the last century, if has been an internationally renowned
tourist resort, in
the middle of Lake Maggiore, in a panoramic and pictoresque setting, facing the

centre of Rosmini studies.On the lake-side, see the liberty style hotels, and facing, the Isola Bella, the most famous among the Borromeo Islands, with its palazzo (1632), rich in Baroque works of art, which was the venue of the "Stresa Conference" (11th-12th April 1935), and its luxurious and magnificent gardens. Visit the naturally beautiful and pictoresque Isola dei Pescatori, with St. Vittare parish church (1627). Excursions to the panoramic inland villages.
